Comments from Pitcher Eisuke Tanaka(Kyoto University)

Looking back on the first day of training camp(Red vs Whites Game)

This is a level that I've never experienced before. This is where the National Team candidates come together so I feel nervous and on edge.
In the Reds vs Whites game I did my best according to my own ability but I feel there are still some points where I'm not up to par.
I still don't have a clear feeling on whether I'll be chosen for the Samurai Japan National Collegiate Team or not yet. If I am though, it will be a great honor.

Comments from Pitcher Yusuke Shichihara(Nagoya University)

Looking back on the first day of training camp (Reds vs Whites game)

Today my usual faults were on display. The lead batter was able to get on base and run. I fell into the same pattern of mistakes as in the league game.
The feeling in the batter's box is also different. A player (Yoshida - Aoyama Gakuin University) didn't miss his chance and got a long hit off me and it went right to sweet spot.
My characteristic pitch is the fast ball. Until now I've had the image in my mind that becoming a representative for Japan was out of reach so it feels a little strange. However, it's an honor to have gotten the chance to become part of the Samurai Japan National Collegiate Team.
