Rakuten Card has become an "Official Partner" of the Japan National Baseball Team - Samurai Japan

Rakuten Card Co., Ltd. of the Rakuten Group (Head Office: Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo - President and Representative Director: Masayuki Hosaka hereafter "Rakuten Card")is heading into its tenth year since issuing the Rakuten Card in August 2005. This anniversary is a good chance to make it our goal to regain the number one position in the world in 2017. With the aim of developing Japanese baseball and also sports in general, Rakuten Card has decided to support the Japan National Baseball Team - Samurai Japan by becoming an "Official Partner."
Since Rakuten Card launched its service it has issued a credit card based on the fundamental concepts of "No Annual Membership Fees" and "High Return on Points."
At this time, they would like to take a business model that has succeeded in Japan and expand it across the world. Rakuten Card has adopted the vision of becoming number one in the credit industry and feels strongly about the purpose of Samurai Japan. With unity between pro and amateur players shown by wearing the same uniforms, Rakuten will support the Japanese National Team in its fight to be number one in the baseball world.
Since Rakuten Card has become an Official Partner of Samurai Japan, from now on it plans to enact various programs to support amateurs such as a policy of donating a portion of credit card payments. Furthermore, by using Samurai Japan logos and trademarks in Rakuten Card marketing plans and sales promotions, the Samurai Japan brand will become more popular and achieve better penetration. It can aim at maximizing its economic value and contribute to the development of the world of Japanese baseball as well as the sports world in general.
