Toshiyuki Ofuji and Koya Higa chosen to take posts as coaches of Samurai Japan 18U National Team

Toshiyuki Ofuji(former manager at Chukyo University Senior High School) and Koya Higa(manager at Okinawa Shogaku High School) have been chosen as coaches of the Samurai Japan 18U National Team (Manager Takahashi Hiroshi) which will compete in the 10th BFA Asian 18U Baseball Tournament from September 1 - 7 to be held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Toshiyuki Ofuji (52 years old)

Chukyo High School(Currently: Chukyo University Senior High School)-- Chukyo University
In 1979 he appear in the 61st National High School Baseball Championship as an infielder. Starting in 1990, he took up the post of baseball club manager at his alma mater Chukyo High School. In 2009 at the 91st National High School Baseball Championship he led that school to their 7th championship, their first in 43 years. In 2010 he stepped down as manager.

Koya Higa (32 years old )

Okinawa Shogaku High School--Aichi Gakuin University
In 1999, he appeared in the 71st National High School Baseball Invitational Tournament as a pitcher and there Okinawa Prefecture achieved their first victory. Starting in 2006, he took up the post of baseball club manager at his alma mater Okinawa Shogaku High School. In 2008, his school appeared in the 80th Memorial National High School Baseball Invitational Tournament and achieved their second victory.
